Personal Message 

I have been volunteering as a Chaplain for the State of California Dept. of Correction and Rehabilitation providing religious and counseling services at various Maximum Security facilities.

That experience helped me understand various sides of a conflict, reactions of parties involved and consequences of actions thereof. It taught me to control emotions, work on differences, use better judgment, listen, and respect a difference of opinion.

Authored a book in Spanish on the basic concepts of Bankruptcy Law, entitled “Conceptos Generales de la Ley de Quiebra”. This book was used as a companion text in Puerto Rico law schools (1990).

Appointed to head the Bankruptcy Committee of the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Group for the US District Court for District of Puerto Rico (1991).

Certified by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification (ABBC) in Business Bankruptcy (1994, 1998).

Certified Fraud Examiner by the Assoc. of Certified Fraud Examiners (2003).

Adjunct professor Metropolitan College of New York, taught Business Law & Ethics at the graduate program in Business Administration. (2005-2006).

Member American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, New York State Bar Association, Association for Conflict Resolution (NY) and other professional organizations.
